Frequently asked questions
If your question isn’t here, send it to us and we’ll answer it directly.
Choosing a provider
What should I ask before hiring an AI-assisted website provider?
Ask how they review code, research search topics, check written claims and test form delivery. Also ask who owns your domain and code, what is included in the quote and who handles problems after launch. Ask to see how those checks work, not just a polished preview. The same questions apply whether a provider uses AI or not.
Why pay for a website if AI can generate one?
Generation is only part of the work. A business website also needs accurate content, suitable page structure, reviewed code, tested forms and a maintained hosting setup. We use AI to work efficiently, while applying experience in development, SEO writing and website support. A DIY builder may suit you if you want to manage those responsibilities yourself.
Working with MAVID
Is MAVID Digital a real company or an AI website generator?
MAVID Digital is an independent web design and development business based in Fort Pierce, Florida, not a self-service website generator. AI tools assist with research, drafts and routine code; a developer plans, reviews and publishes the site with your approval.
Who will handle my project?
You work directly with MAVID Digital on planning, development and ongoing support. A partner marketing agency can help with larger marketing projects, with its involvement discussed up front.
Do you only work with businesses on the Treasure Coast?
No. We’re based in Fort Pierce and happy to meet local clients in person, but we work with businesses anywhere in Florida and the US over video calls and email.
How long does a website take?
It depends mostly on how quickly content, photos and feedback come together. Your proposal includes a schedule based on your page count and what you already have ready.
What do you need from me to get started?
A short call, your logo, any photos you have, and answers to a questionnaire about your services, customers and service area. If you don’t have written content, we can research and draft it for you to review.
AI and content
Do you use AI to write my website content?
AI helps us research and draft, but we edit everything and check facts with you. Nothing is published until you’ve approved it, and we won’t make claims about your business that you can’t back up.
Will my site show up in ChatGPT or Google’s AI Overviews?
Nobody can guarantee that. We build pages that answer real customer questions clearly, add structured data, and make sure AI search crawlers aren’t blocked. A complete Google Business Profile and mentions on other reputable sites also matter, and we can help with those.
Can I add an AI chat assistant later?
Yes. Any MAVID site can have an assistant added later. It’s scoped and priced as part of the Custom / AI plan.
Pricing and plans
Why is there a setup fee and a monthly fee?
The setup fee covers planning, design, writing and building the site. The monthly fee covers hosting, security, updates, monitoring and a set amount of edit time each month.
Is there a discount for paying yearly?
Yes. Paying annually costs ten months’ worth of the monthly fee, so you get two months free.
What if I need more edits than my plan includes?
Extra work is billed at $75 an hour in 15-minute increments. We’ll give you an estimate before starting anything larger than a quick fix.
What counts as a page?
A page is a unique URL with its own content, such as Home, About or one service. Blog posts and event listings aren’t counted against your page limit; they’re priced as add-ons.
Ownership, hosting and security
Do I own my website?
Yes. Your domain should be registered in your name, and we can hand over your website files with setup notes. You’re not locked into MAVID to keep your site.
Where is my site hosted?
On managed hosting with worldwide delivery. Pages are served close to your visitors, and we handle the hosting settings, secure connections and ongoing upkeep.
Can my site get hacked?
Any site connected to the internet carries some risk. We reduce unnecessary moving parts, protect forms against spam and abuse, and keep the site updated. Accounts controlling your domain, hosting and email should use two-factor authentication. No provider can promise a site will never be compromised.
